Annual Community Health Worker Conference

Since 2016, we have held an annual conference and we invite and encourage anyone who is interested to attend. Our conferences are full of helpful information regards to your health and the impact you can have on your community.  We also offer continuing education credits at our conference for Certified Community Health Workers.

Poster submission may be completed as a team or individually. All poster subjects must be CHW related.

Vendors

Each vendor will receive conference registration, meals, and snacks for (1) person for the September 19th and 20th event. If you have additional staff that would like to attend the conference from your organization, please supply their name and payment for their registration. Please check the appropriate box. Approval is subject to space availability. Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze sponsors will receive priority vendor booth locations. Please check in with event organizer on the day of the event to get vendor booth assignment. Payment is due 30 days prior to scheduled event.

Each year before the KYACHW conference, KYACHW members have the opportunity to nominate a CHW for the following awards.

Extraordinary Contribution

To honor and individual who has made an extraordinary contribution to the community health worker profession in Kentucky.  Awardees are anyone current or former who has gone above and beyond as a CHW Champion.

Outstanding CHW Award

To honor an individual who has made outstanding contributions in the community health worker profession in Kentucky.  Awardees are current or former community health Workers. 

CHW Champion

To honor an individual who has supported and advocated for the community health worker profession in Kentucky.  Awardees can be anyone who champions the CHW profession.

KOCHW launched their first Leadership Academy taught by Envision Equity on June 13, 14, 2024  . 20 CHW’s and 20 Allies were selected to attend to encompass various areas of CHW development and grow their leadership skills and qualities.
